Lodi Union High School (LUHS) - 2020 to __

Yep!  That is a cast on my right ankle. Two days before Christmas I slipped on an icy step coming down the hill from the chicken yard and "BAM" broke my ankle in 3 places.  Doctors said I did a great job in making a mess of it.  Surgery took place after the holidays, Jan. 2 to be exact.   The doctor used a bunch of screws and steel plates to replace the 3 pieces back where they should be and I was told "No weight bearing for awhile."  I waited and waited and waited... Finally a few weeks ago I was told I could finally put full weight on my ankle with the help of an ankle brace.  Here it is the 30th of April and I need to use a walker most of the time.   I can limp around without it more and more each day but it has been so long that I've walked, I have to build up my strength in my muscles in both legs.  And, since it is my right foot,  there isn't enough strength to use it for driving. I am really house bound for now.   Well,  it doesn't really matter since all of us in California have been told to stay at home because of this virus, COVID-19.  Our son Douglas has been doing our grocery shopping for us.  Garry does go out to various places once in awhile since he's borrowed one of my scarfs.  I can finally go up stairs where my computers are.  The one has  the software for this website, so, now,  I can write and post this and catch up on what Marsha has sent.

I think Mavis is about to send out information for our 60th Reunion so I'll post that when I can.

Take care everyone!
