THANK YOU

After the first ten years it was agreed that the Class of 60 wanted to meet every five years. I and the rest of our classmates want to send a special thank you to the committee for not only this year's reunion but for every reunion you've created for us to enjoy, meet old friends and meet classmates we didn't even know. There were 375 students in our graduation class and it was not possible to have known everyone. Interestingly, even if we didn't know each other we all have Lodi Union High School in common. This meant we had some of the same teachers, went to the same dances or ball games.... Most of us enjoyed the same music and the same television shows and movies which are being shown on Turners Classic chanel.... Many of you had jobs that are familiar such as teaching or farming or office work.... Some of you play golf.... Bring up the word "grandchildren" and most of us could share stories of all kinds. Whomever was your table mates, I'm sure you found something in common or learn something about the people you didn't know and wanted to learn more. Many are traveling, now, to many intersting places. Some of us like our rose gardens and may not be able to travel anymore and worry about the effects of the drought California is suffering. Some are sports fans who are loyal to their college / university teams or the pro teams like the SF Forty-niners or the SF Giants. Too many think they really do not have much to say, but they do because we are interested in our old friends. As we are discovering, life doesn't last forever and time is precious, as precious as old friendships. And these friendship are the only avenue of remembering what occured in our time and we don't have to explain because we were there, too, exactly when you were. So, let me say to our committee, "Thank you for giving us the pleasure of all the reunions with old friends who were classmates of 1960."

Hi Everyone: April 29, 2015

The organizing committee is working hard to make our 55th Lodi High Class of 1960 reunion a success.

We have tried to keep the expenses down. We did manage to keep the price the same as last reunion. We tried to keep everything simple, so you don't need to tell us what you want to eat. Since we have to tell the caterers a final total, we need to have the reservations back by June 5, 2015. $50 each person includes both days. Please make your check out the Lodi High Class of 1960 and send your checks to Kathy at the address below.

REUNION – June 20, 2015

Place - Woodbridge Country Club, 800 E. Woodbridge Rd, Woodbridge, CA

Time – 4:30 to 10:00

Food – Buffets – chicken, salmon, pasta bar

Drinks – Club house bar will be open. Charges will be at club prices and at buyers expense.

Dress – Since the event is at a Country Club, there are dress attire rules.

DRESS CODE; BLUE denim of any kind (to include skirts, jackets, etc;) is not allowed. Sweat suites, tee shirts, frayed or torn clothing, sports jerseys, tank tops, halter tops, bathing suites, short shorts. Sports hats for men and women are required to be removed.

Gift to the classmates - there will be a bottle of wine with our class label that will be given to you when you leave. There is a $10 corkage charge, so that is why we will pass them out as you leave.

Name badges. Please turn them in when you get your bottle of wine as you leave.

PICNIC – June 19, 2015

Place: Lodi Lake by the big bell close to the entrance. You can park on Turner and walk over the hill or enter the park. There is a charge for parking in the lake. Lodi residents pay $2.00 and non-residents pay $3.00 for parking in the lake.

Time: 11:00 – 7:00

Food: BBQ with condiments

Salads

Chips and dips

Veggie tray

Watermelon

Drinks: Lemonade

Iced Tea

Water

Please bring chairs. We will have a few extras, but if you have some please bring them.
